Fairfax County man arrested for allegedly soliciting a minor

FAIRFAX COUNTY, Va. ( DC News Now ) — The Fairfax County Police Department (FCPD) is seeking potential additional victims after arresting a man for alleged inappropriate conduct with a minor.

On June 7 at approximately 6:50 p.m., detectives from Mclean District Station received a tip regarding a man’s inappropriate communication with an underage individual via the Internet. Police located the suspect, identified as Gerry Frank Burde, 41, of Herndon, in Tysons Corner, where he intended to meet and potentially engage in sexual acts with the victim, according to FCPD.

After investigating, detectives arrested Burde. Burde is charged with the use of communications systems to solicit a minor, attempted forcible intercourse with a victim under 13 and indecent liberties with a child under 15.
