KINGSPORT, Tenn. (WJHL) — A Tri-Cities cheesesteak food truck is looking forward to offering customers more options once it moves into a brick-and-mortar location in Kingsport.
Uptown Cheesesteak Company announced on Aug. 12 that it would move into an entire restaurant space on Broad Street in the near future.
The food truck’s owner, Jason Ketron, told News Channel 11 that moving into a permanent spot in Kingsport has been a long-term goal.

“We’ve always wanted to be in downtown Kingsport,” Ketron said. “It’s just where I grew up and something that I wanted. We thought we had the same spot that we’re getting right now last year, but unfortunately, we drug our feet on it and someone else got it. Luckily, it became available for us again.”
Ketron hopes the new Uptown Cheesesteak Company location will open in either late September or early October…
