The LSUA Generals (1-1-0) suffered its first loss of the season on the road in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to the No. 20 William Carey University Crusaders (2-0-1). The 2-0 loss is also the first road loss for the Generals this season. The No.20 team in NAIA outshot the LSUA Generals 11-2. Alfie Lee and Frederico Gilardi were the only two Generals to get shots. None of the shots were considered as shots on goal. The Crusaders also had more opportunities i. thoer third of the pitch with a 4-1 advantage in corners. The referees whistle also got a good workout as the two teams combined for 28 fouls. Valeriu Tarlev grabbed two saves for LSUA.
LSUA players hardly had time to stretch their legs on the pitch before the Crusaders scored. Joshua Salas with an assist from Rico Duggan scored the first goal in the 2nd minute.
