WILSON, N.C. (WNCT) — An early college student and her mother realized downtown Wilson was missing something that they had to offer. Amerimex recently opened downtown and is bringing boba teas, açaí bowls, as well as lemonades to customers.
Adalinda Chavez, owner of Amerimex, said her daughter used their initial food truck for extra income while attending early college.
”Going to early college, her getting off at 5 p.m. and didn’t have much time to get a job, so the idea was a food truck first,” Chavez said.
