The 2024 Little League World Series home run derby will test the slugging ability of some of the best hitters at this year’s baseball showcase in South Williamsport, Pa.
The home run derby will operate on a fairly simple set of rules. Each batter in the first round will have 90 seconds to hit as many home runs as they can. The players with the 10 best scores from that round will advance to a second round, repeating the 90-second timeframe. In the second round, the batters will go in ascending order from lowest first-round total to highest.
The winner of the home run derby will be determined in the third and final round, which will see the top five players from the second round once again bat in ascending order. Each player will get 90 seconds once again, and the player with the top total in this round will be crowned the champion…
