Fire crews, police respond to Las Vegas hotel fire, several floors evacuated, police say

LAS VEGAS (KLAS) — Fire crews and police have responded and are evacuating a Las Vegas hotel after a fire Thursday evening, according to Metro police.

The Clark County Fire Department and Metro police responded around 7:50 p.m. to the Renaissance Hotel near Paradise and Desert Inn roads after a report of a fire near the roof, police said.

When crews arrived they found smoke coming from the roof where they found a small fire of material on the roof. The fire was quickly extinguished, CCFD said.

As a precautionary measure, the two floors below the fire were evacuated, according to CCFD. No injuries were reported and the cause and dollar loos have yet to be determined…
