The Tri-Cities was one of the first stops on the Corvette Caravan, on the way to the 30th anniversary of the National Corvette Museum. This seven-day, 2,000 mile trip only happens every five years. KENNEWICK, Wash. — It’s a sight only every five years: Corvettes from across the country are taking their seven-day, 2,000 mile trek from the West Coast all the way to the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Kentucky. Hundreds of cars stopped by Columbia Park Thursday afternoon for lunch.

“Probably about 240 Corvettes were here, some 240, 250, and by the time we get to Cody, Wyoming, we should have between 350 and 375 Corvettes. We’re picking up more and more cars as we go,” explained John Warren, the captain for the Pacific Northwest Corvette Caravan .

McCurley Chevrolet provided the lunch in the Tri-Cities.

“The Chevrolet dealers have been very, very gracious to us, and McCurley Chevrolet is putting on this whole event for us, and they’re feeding us lunch,” said Warren…
