Martin (Marty) James Jackson, 82, resident of Aptos, and previously Scotts Valley and Ben Lomond, passed on from his life in his sleep at his home in Aptos, CA on August 3, 2024. He had complications due to Parkinson’s Disease.Martin was born on June 19, 1942, to Lottie Marian Jackson and Alvian Ross Jackson in Youngsville, PA. He was the second oldest of five children: Barbara (deceased), William (deceased), Janis and Jill (deceased).Martin is survived by his loving family: wife Shirley, son Bradley, daughter Bridget (Clayborne), grandson Anton, granddaughter Anastasia, sister Janis and her extended family, plus the extended families of his predeceased siblings Barbara Bates and William Jackson.After serving in the Air Force for eight years, including tours in Vietnam, Martin found his home with his family in Santa Cruz County and became a dedicated broadcast engineer.
