Walkertown man charged after toddler seriously burned with hot water was child’s stepfather, warrants indicate

WALKERTOWN, N.C. (WGHP) — A man who has been charged with abusing a young child was the little boy’s stepfather, according to court documents.

On Thursday, James Wilford Huff, 34, was arrested and charged with intentional child abuse inflicting serious injury.

According to the Forsyth County Sheriff’s Office, on July 21 just before midnight, they were called to a home in Walkertown about suspected child abuse. Arriving deputies learned a juvenile may have pulled a pot of boiling water off the stove and onto them…
