Florrie Lynne Carter Love

It is with great sadness we announce, that Florrie Lynne Carter Love, of Alvin, Texas, passed away Friday, August 16th, 2024, at the age of 69. Her loved ones were gathered around her at the time of her passing. Florrie was born December 18th, 1954 in Macon, Georgia, and preferred going by Lynne. She spent the last seven months in the hospital battling illness, and though she may now rest, she fought until she could fight no longer. She lived a wonderful life and left behind her loving husband, John R. Love Jr; children, Ava Hanna, John C. Love, Robert Love, and David Love; grandchildren, Kai Hanna, Samantha Love, Ryleigh Love, and Oliver Love; daughters-in-law, Heidi and Jessica Love; son-in-law Paul Hanna; mother, Ava Carter; and brothers, Jeff and Louis Carter. She is predeceased by her father, Louis Carter.

Lynne relished spending her evenings with her husband, John, watching the Astros play. She had a magnificent sense of humor and enjoyed laughing and telling jokes. Having been born into a musical family, she was passionate about music and passed her love to her children. Furthermore, she was interested in politics and stayed up to date with the current events occurring in the world. She was an exceptionally creative soul and crafting was a significant part of her life. She took pleasure in constructing and molding objects into something beautiful, in the same vein she created her four children and molded them into the flourishing adults they are today.

Though she had many joys, nothing delighted her more than spending time with her kids and grandchildren. She loved her family more than words could describe and they loved her in kind. She will be dearly missed, though her family will cherish every moment spent with her…
