Columbia drug dealer accused of leaving two grams of fentanyl within reach of a child

A Columbia man, described as a known drug dealer, is accused of leaving about two grams of fentanyl in a vehicle, within easy reach of a child.

Kirk Porter, Jr., 28, is charged with second-degree drug trafficking.  He is being held without bond and has his first court appearance is scheduled for this afternoon.

Court documents state that officers spotted a vehicle pulling into a parking lot in the 100 block of Business Loop 70 West on Wednesday afternoon.  Officers recognized the driver, who had multiple felony warrants out for his arrest.  A passenger, later identified as Porter, was seen walking away from the vehicle…
