Juniper Market , a St. Augustine cafe that serves health-conscious light bites and organic coffee, is getting ready to open a new location in Hastings at 422 North Main St.
The company’s second site will be more than 3,000 square feet , making it nearly twice the size of the San Marco location at 48 San Marco, according to Jacksonville Business Journal . This is a huge achievement for owner Jenn Ashton , considering she opened the restaurant in three locations. Now, she’s able to open a second location, this time in a building that she will own. The space is currently home to the Jesus Ministries International. Ashton hopes to open in about 12 months , offering sandwiches, salads, coffee drinks, and more.
“We really wanted to buy something, a commercial property,” Ashton tells the Business Journal. “The one way to control rent and your investment … is to purchase something. We’d like to do some nighttime stuff out there, maybe some fresh food, a little more retail.”…
