Oxford Senior Center Closing temporarily during road repairs

OXFORD, Conn. (WTNH) – The Oxford First Selectman reports that the Oxford Senior Center will be closed the week of August 26th due to repairs needed on Governors Hill Road.

First Selectman George R. Temple clarified the closings in a Facebook post stating, “To ensure the safety of our Seniors during the roadway repairs on Governors Hill Road the Oxford Senior Center, we’ll be closed this coming week.”

The repairs come a week after the Oxford area suffered intense flash flooding.

The center will remain closed from August 26th to September 2nd. Transportation services to and from the center will also be unavailable during this time…
