Hey Muskingum County: Here’s what you need to know to start your week

ZANESVILLE − A GoFundMe account has been created for the family of Colt Rose to help pay for memorial expenses. Colt was involved in a three-vehicle crash on U.S. 40, near West Muskingum Schools, on Sept. 12, 2022. The collision resulted in severe injuries that left him in a vegetative state for nearly two years. The 23-year-old died Aug. 20. The GoFundMe goal is $2,600.

ZANESVILLE − The Muskingum County Engineer’s Office has announced White Eyes Road closed on Friday for 45 days from Barr Road to Highland Grange Road for a bridge replacement.

NEW CONCORD − Swing’s the Thing will close out the Celebrate New Concord summer concert series with a performance at 7 p.m. Aug. 27 at the village park. The 17-piece big band is based in Central Ohio and covers a wide range of musical and dance styles. This includes swing, rock, blues, cha-cha, rumba and polka.
