State Police: Crash on I-95 injures three people, including infant ejected from vehicle

PRINCE GEORGE − Three people were injured when their sports-utility vehicle overturned Sunday morning on Interstate 95 near the Carson exit. One of those injured was an infant who was thrown from the vehicle and had to be airlifted from the scene.

All of the injuries are serious but not considered life-threatening, Virginia State Police Sgt. Jessica Shehan said in a message to The Progress-Index. All three people in the SUV − the driver, another passenger and the infant − were taken to VCU Medical Center in Richmond for treatment.
