‘Horrific scene’: Tampa woman killed in massacre over will dispute

SYOSSET, N.Y. (PIX11) – A man who mistakenly thought he was being cut out of his mom’s will shot and killed four family members before turning the gun on himself on the front lawn of his Long Island home Sunday, authorities said.

“In 41 years, that’s probably one of the most horrific scenes I’ve ever seen,” NCPD Commissioner Patrick Ryder said at a briefing Monday.

Daughter of former MLB pitcher Greg Swindell missing out of Texas

Joseph Delucia Jr., 59, fatally shot his three siblings and niece while they gathered in the den in the back of the home on Wyoming Court in Syosset at around noon, according to the Nassau County Police Department.

Officials identified the victims as:

  • Joanne Kearns, sister of the shooter, 69, of Tampa, Florida
  • Frank Delucia, brother of the shooter, 64, of Durham, North Carolina
  • Tina Hammond, sister of the shooter, 64, of East Patchogue, New York
  • Victoria Hammond, niece of the shooter, 30, of East Patchogue, New York
