MIDDLESEX COUNTY, NJ — Driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is a serious crime, and police in Central New Jersey’s most densely-populated county take those offenses very seriously.
Proof is in the number of “driving under the influence” (DUI) arrests that cops in Middlesex County towns made from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024 — totaling 2,286 arrests, according to municipal court statistics that New Jersey recently released.
In our readership area, the Woodbridge Police Department made the most DUI arrests – a total of 310 – in our county. The Carteret Police Department made fewer, with 56 arrests, but that is proportionate to the borough’s smaller size with fewer officers…
