Caitlin Clark and Connor McCaffery Celebrate Career Milestones

WNBA rookie standout Caitlin Clark has broken the record for most points scored in her debut season. Shortly after this achievement, her boyfriend, Connor McCaffery, landed a new coaching position at Butler University.

Butler announced on Monday that McCaffery, previously an assistant coach for the Indiana Pacers, will join the men’s basketball team as an assistant coach. Clark expressed her excitement on Instagram, congratulating her partner.

Clark and McCaffery met while playing basketball at Iowa and have supported each other’s careers since. McCaffery helped Clark improve her shot, while Clark attended McCaffery’s games with the Pacers.

McCaffery will replace former NBA star Greg Oden as Butler’s assistant coach. Head coach Thad Matta praised McCaffery’s experience and family background, expressing confidence in his impact on the program.
