At the Montgomery Humane Society in Montgomery, Alabama, a male dog was found Thursday, September 12, “barely hanging on.” The dog rescuers dubbed him Chance; the sweet pup had been soaked in motor oil and then abandoned. He was found alone on Overhill Road, (Zip code: 36116).
Chance was immediately rushed to the rescue organization’s partner veterinarian’s who worried the dog might not survive. He was severely anemic, and it was unknown as to the amount of oil he likely inhaled and ingested.
