Goodwill invites Central Florida to ‘Round Up’ in support of United Against Poverty

Goodwill Industries of Central Florida is launching a special ’round up’ initiative to help United Against Poverty Orlando (UP) meet its fundraising goal of $150,000 to repair storm damage at its crisis center.

UP suffered a catastrophic loss in June when part of its roof collapsed, forcing the nonprofit to shut down some vital services. The organization began fundraising to help cover the costs, and now Goodwill is inviting shoppers in Orange County to help UP by rounding up their purchases to the nearest dollar until September 29.

“We believe in the power of collaboration, especially during times of crisis,” said Ed Durkee, President and CEO at Goodwill Industries of Central Florida. “With the help of shoppers, we’ll spread goodwill even further, strengthening our collective impact for United Against Poverty.”…
