As candidates prepare for campaigns and debates, Santa Barbara County is working to make sure as many residents as possible are prepared to vote in November.
County officials are expecting a high turnout for the 2024 election. During the last presidential election, a record-breaking 86.5% of eligible voters cast a ballot, and the Elections Office expects 80%-plus turnout this year.
As of Sept. 6, the county had 238,947 registered voters, according to Chief Deputy Assessor & Registrar of Voters Michael Daly. That number is expected to increase in the coming weeks…
