SOUTH BEND, Ind. (WNDU) – More Morris. That’s what a $15.2 million construction project will provide — a bigger South Bend Morris Performing Arts Center.
Groundbreaking ceremonies today marked the symbolic start of the work to expand the building by 20,000 square feet.
“This is the expansion, and we think that’s important,” said Morris founding family member and major project donor Christopher Murphy. “You either die or grow, and we want to grow. And I think we’re seeing this happen with the Encore Center, the Morris Performing Arts Center, growing and providing more opportunity for people in a larger area.”…
