The saga of a Pleasanton homicide has reached a new chapter as 27-year-old Kennedy Stith was charged with the murder of her boyfriend, a case tracing back to an incident last year. Alameda County District Attorney Pamela Price announced the charge against Stith following a year-long investigation by Pleasanton Police into the death that occurred on May 1, 2023, according to the Alameda County District Attorney’s Office.

Stith, from Oakland, is alleged to have fatally stabbed 32-year-old Edevion White inside a residential apartment on Owens Drive, a narrative initially tangled by reports of a supposed robbery involving two male suspects. With time, detectives countered this misdirected story and identified Stith as the suspect, leading to her recent arrest.
