FORT PIERCE – Fort Pierce city commissioners voted 3-2 Tuesday to move suspended City Manager Nicholas Mimms from a paid to an unpaid administrative leave with fringe benefits, in the midst of his Aug. 14 arrest on charges of bid tampering and official misconduct.
Tuesday’s split-decision also gives Mimms until Nov. 4 to tender his resignation, if he chooses.
