Two Local Airports Get Ready to Take on Future Plans with the Help of Federal Funding

Greater Binghamton Airport is looking to bring improvements to it’s campus, and a recent announcement is helping with that, recently receiving just shy of $5 million from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airport Infrastructure Grant Program.

“What most people don’t understand is by bringing in these grants, we’re bringing money into our community and we’re allowing that economic impact to be expanded. So we’re bringing in the jobs with the with the funding,” Heefner said.

The funding from the FAA will be put towards the Greater Binghamton Airport’s over 6,000 foot long taxiway…
