DCU tops Plymouth and Notre Dame, battles Marinette Thursday

Door County United (DCU) girls high school swim team brought home another varsity win last night during their triangular meet vs. Plymouth High School and Notre Dame High School. DCU scored 140 points, Plymouth High School Scored 105 points, and Notre Dame High School scored 45. DCU finished first in all but two varsity events for the night. Isabella Jimenez Seyfer (SBHS) finished first in the 100-yard freestyle, finishing 4 seconds ahead of second place. Julia Michalski (SBHS) finished first in both events, including the 100-yard butterfly and the 100-yard backstroke. The junior varsity put up quite a fight, finishing second to Plymouth High School overall. Plymouth High School scored 110 points, and DCU scored 72 points. Kylie Sikorsky (SEV) completed her 50-yard freestyle in under a minute for the first time this season. Also, Mia Olson (SBHS) dropped almost 10 seconds in her 100-yard freestyle since the beginning of the season. DCU will face Marinette at the Door County YMCA on Thursday, September 19th, for their next conference matchup. …
