RAYNHAM — Chief David LaPlante reports that the Raynham Police Department arrested a Boston man on gun and ammunition charges as a result of an investigation that stemmed from a motor vehicle stop on Tuesday afternoon.
At just after 12:45 p.m., a Raynham Police officer conducting routine traffic enforcement stopped a vehicle near 362 New State Highway after observing the vehicle’s operator, later identified as 35-year-old Johnson Prevot of Boston, allegedly using his cellphone in violation of the state’s hands-free law.
Through an on-scene investigation, officers determined that Prevot’s license to operate a motor vehicle was suspended and he was placed under arrest…
