Columbus suspect in deadly Florida shooting faces October arraignment

PANAMA CITY, Ala. (WTVM) – New details have emerged about a deadly Florida shooting case involving the suspect and victim, who are both from Columbus.

DeMarcus Lykes, 38, was arrested earlier this month and charged with the premeditated murder of 42-year-old Berris McNamee in Panama City over Labor Day weekend.

Lykes was scheduled for a court hearing this past Monday. According to the Bay County, Florida Clerk’s Office, his first arraignment has been rescheduled for October 21. He is currently being held without bond in Bay County…
