A ‘tail’ of survival: Arizona dog impaled, disemboweled by fence survives and finds ‘furever’ home

PHOENIX — An Arizona dog who was found impaled and disemboweled by a fence in July now has a “furever home” in Buckeye.

AHS’ Dispatch Team responded to a call from Phoenix police about a dog that attempted to climb a wire fence and impaled himself doing so in late July. Technicians who arrived at the scene found 2-year-old Shepherd mix Junum with a large laceration to the abdomen with his intestines coming out of his body, AHS said.

Junum had to undergo surgery where AHS veterinarians removed more than five feet of intestines, AHS said…
