National Park Service releases body-cam footage from July 4 shooting at Yellowstone

In the early morning of July 4, Yellowstone National Park officials responded to reports of an armed gunman making threats to civilians at the park’s Canyon Village. On Sept. 19, the National Park Service released footage from an armed confrontation that ensued. The footage was recorded by park rangers on body-worn cameras during the incident.

The shooter, 28-year-old Samson Lucas Bariah Fussner of Milton, Florida, and a Xanterra Parks and Resorts employee, was killed in the confrontation with park rangers…
