Terreionna Paschal, a 32-year-old Cleveland woman, is set to face sentencing today after pleading guilty to the 2023 murder of Cleveland State University professor Todd Morgan. Paschal, who initially faced a jury trial, entered a guilty plea for aggravated murder with a gun specification, according to WKYC.

Cleveland19 News reports that the sentencing will occur at 8:30 a.m., with live proceedings. Paschal was indicted in the Summit County Common Pleas Court on additional charges of aggravated robbery and tampering with evidence, underscoring the case’s complexity. Hudson Police Chief Perry Tabak expressed sympathy for the victim’s family, stating, “Our hearts go out to Todd’s family and friends. Through my department’s investigation, we determined that this was an isolated incident.”

Professor Morgan was found dead in his Hudson home on April 19, 2023, with multiple gunshot wounds to the head and torso.
