National Eating Disorders Association walk for Cleveland area to be held in Akron for first time

AKRON, Ohio – The National Eating Disorders Association walk for the Cleveland area, which seeks to advance research and raise awareness about eating disorders, will hold its event on Oct. 5 at 9 a.m. at the Akron Zoo.

It’s the first time the walk, which is held in cities throughout the U.S., will happen in Akron. The zoo is located at 505 Euclid Ave.

“By holding the walk in Akron we’re hoping to capitalize on the Cleveland area while also drawing people from the Akron and Columbus areas,” Akron Children’s Hospital Pediatric Psychologist Krista Caldwell told cleveland.com and The Plain Dealer…
