Cyclists and pedestrians will soon have a new way down off the Bench, but exactly how – and the price tag – are still to be determined.
On Tuesday, the Boise City Council got a status update on the progress of four pathways the city is in the process of building as part of its pathways program. This initiative aims to broaden the city’s pathway options beyond the Greenbelt to other parts of Boise for cyclists and pedestrians to use as an alternative to driving.
The pathways include a project to link the bike path along the rim on Federal Way down to the neighborhoods at the south end of Broadway Avenue in Southeast Boise, a connection from Spaulding Ranch to Capital High School and the long-discussed Cassia-Garden pathway on the Central Bench.
