No threat to area residents Thursday in Annsville incident

ANNSVILLE — There was never a threat to the community during an incident that brought out a large police presence Thursday to a residence on Taberg-Florence Road, said Oneida County Sheriff’s Office Lt. Rich Paul.

The call for an alleged assault nearby came in to the 911 call center shortly before 1:15 p.m. Thursday. Paul said a man of interest then barricaded himself in the residence, prompting the precautionary response of Oneida County Sheriff’s deputies, New York State Police, Metro SWAT, Taberg Fire Department, AmCare Ambulance to the scene…
