DURANT, Okla. (KXII) – This week’s A+ Athlete is Kaleb Powell of Durant High School.
Kaleb is an excellent student. He’s a member of National Honors Society, Oklahoma Honor Society and Oklahoma Indian Honor Society. He is very active is his school and his church, not to mention he volunteers at a Durant elementary school helping kids in PE. Kaleb values his education, but also the relationships he’s made along the way.
“He works really hard at everything he does,” Science teacher Jackie McMichael said. “If that is studying for a test that is coming up or out on the tennis court, he just constantly has that drive to be the best version of himself that he can be. He is just an influence on those underclassmen coming up, and an encouragement to them as well.”…
