3rd man pleads guilty to $46,000 Prada store heist

CHICAGO — A third man has pleaded guilty to participating in a bold daytime robbery at the Prada store in downtown Chicago in January 2022. Leonard Spears, 28, is the third man to receive a prison sentence for the heist at the Oak Street boutique, which prosecutors said netted the crew merchandise worth $46,000.

Prosecutors said the men rolled up to the Prada store in two stolen cars around 2:30 p.m. on January 12, 2022. A security guard allowed 24-year-old Kahdaffie Green to enter, and the others barged in behind him. They pushed a security guard against the wall and ran out with armloads of purses, prosecutors have said. The crew rammed a clothing rack into the security officer as they escaped.
