A somber pall settled over the town of Vonore, Tennessee, as tragedy struck yesterday morning when a person was killed in a collision between a CSX train and a car. The fatal incident occurred at roughly 7:56 a.m. at the crossing of Evans Street and Old Slag Road.
The deceased was the driver of the vehicle that was struck by the oncoming train. The identity of the driver has yet to be disclosed pending notification of kin. According to WVLT News, the train was under the operation of CSX, a leading transportation company.
