WARREN OH- Garfield flexed their muscles in Week 5, showing they’re still the team to beat in the MVAC. The G-Men rolled into Champion and completely took the wind out of the stadium, handing the Golden Flashes a 50-0 beatdown.
Garfield set the tone early, capitalizing on back-to-back 4th and short stops to get prime field position. Harper Troyer and Devon Bates wasted no time, each punching in 2-yard touchdowns to put Garfield in control.
Champion’s night didn’t get any better. A fumble deep in their own territory gave the G-Men the ball at the 17, and Jack Neikirk hit Brandyn Bogucki with a 2-yard TD pass, stretching the lead to three scores…
