Tri-Cities’ Kids for Urban Trees, visits local elementary school

PASCO , Wash. — A local Tri-Cities organization is working to help the environment and spread awareness about the benefits trees provide.

Kids for Urban Trees is based out of the Tri-Cities, partnering with the Benton Franklin Health District and other community organizations to plant trees around our area.

So far, they’ve planted over 200 trees at local schools and community spaces to help prevent urban heat islands which form in heavily developed areas…
