KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) – More than a dozen members of gangs or street groups around the Kansas City metro attended an event in an attempt to start down a path away from violence.
The Jackson County, Missouri, Prosecutor’s Office says that on Thursday, Sept. 19, a group of around 15 gang members from the Kansas City metro listened to speakers at the Morning Star Youth and Family Life Center, 2525 E. 27th St., as they offered advice and help to move away from a future of violence.
Law enforcement officials indicated this was the second call-in held by SAVE KC, a local violence reduction program. A third call-in has been planned for later this fall…
