Delta Air Lines Accused of Religious Discrimination
A Jewish flight attendant, Sasi Sheva, has filed a lawsuit against Delta Air Lines, alleging religious discrimination.
Ham Sandwich Incident
Sheva claims that during a work trip, he was provided with a ham sandwich despite his Kosher and vegetarian diet. He alleges that his multiple requests for alternative food were ignored.
Yom Kippur Denial
Sheva also alleges that Delta denied his request for time off on Yom Kippur, despite his advanced notice. He believes the denial was "in bad faith" and "without justification."
Company Response
Delta Air Lines has declined to comment on the lawsuit but has stated that it has "zero tolerance for discrimination of any kind."
Additional Allegations
The lawsuit also includes allegations of work-related injuries and claims that Delta "belittled" Sheva’s injuries.
