Carver, Captains and End 68 Hours Team Up To End Children’s Hunger

In a collaborative effort to combat childhood hunger in Lake County, End 68 Hours of Hunger, The Lake County Captains and Carver Financial Services in Mentor partnered on the 35th annual Client Appreciation Event Food Drive organized by Carver Financial Services on Aug. 16 at the Classic Auto Group Park in Eastlake.

This initiative aims to ensure that children in our community have access to nourishing food throughout the weekend, according to a news release.

End 68 Hours of Hunger is a local nonprofit that focuses on providing nutritious, nonperishable foods to local school children who rely on the free and reduced lunch programs during the school week, according to a news release. These children often face food insecurity over the weekends when school meals are not available and the organization ensures that each child receives a supply of food to take home every weekend, the release said…
