Old Town Lewisville Set to Shine with Annual Homecoming Parade and Festivities

It’s that time of year again when Lewisville High School’s students, alumni, and supporters gather to showcase their school spirit. The annual Homecoming Parade is set to take place on Oct. 2 in Old Town Lewisville. Kicking off at 6 p.m., the procession will bring a wave of festive colors and sounds from the corner of Main and Cowan, winding through Main to Mill before making a turn toward Church Street for a community pep rally.

For locals planning their commute, a heads-up: Cowan Avenue will be off-limits for parade setup starting that afternoon, and the parade route itself will be closed from roughly 5 p.m. until the event concludes, per the City of Lewisville’s announcement. After the parade disperses, Church Street is expected to remain closed until the conclusion of the pep rally, prompting drivers to be prepared for detours, and yes, the inevitable delays…
