Gadsden State Community College Cardinal Foundation to Host Annual Gala

Gadsden, AL – The Gadsden State Community College Cardinal Foundation is preparing for its highly anticipated second annual Cardinal Gala, which will be held at 6 p.m. on Thursday, October 10 at The Venue. The event will feature cocktails, a seated dinner, a silent auction, and live entertainment from talented musical groups Worth the Wait, a nationally recognized mother-daughter trio from Cherokee County, and Swoop, members of the Gadsden State Show Band.

“We are beyond thrilled to present such talented musicians and singers for this year’s Cardinal Gala,” said Hilary Folsom, director of Advancement and Alumni Relations at Gadsden State. “Worth the Wait, the mother-daughter trio from Cherokee County, is nationally recognized thanks to their appearances on American Idol and The Voice . We have planned an evening full of showcasing the talent of our students, as well as opportunities to interact with faculty, staff, and students in many of our programs, including FAME and Health Sciences.”

Last year’s inaugural Cardinal Gala was a resounding success, raising over $68,000 to support scholarships and college initiatives. Those funds have been used to enhance Health Sciences programs and to purchase supplies for a Black Box Theater for the Fine Arts department…
