Maryland man vows to keep playing lottery after winning Powerball prize

A man who won thousands of dollars in the lottery has vowed to carry on playing and win more money .

The player, from Gaithersburg, Maryland , scooped $50,000 earlier this month on September 9 while playing the Powerball Doube Play. He had one of the two winning tickets in the drawing on that lucky night.

Speaking about the win at the Maryland Lottery in Baltimore , he said: “There’s no use in stopping playing now. I’m not getting older, I’m getting better.”

Prior to the win, the Montgomery County resident was more inclined to visit the MGM National Harbor casino to play games and enjoy a cigar on the casino’s outdoor terrace. However, the thousands of dollars has led to him renewing his interest in the lottery rather than casinos, MDlottery reports .

The lucky fella and keen angler has vowed to spend his money on buying a boat to try and catch “whatever’s biting” as well as finishing off some home renovation projects. Winning may have increased his interest in paying attention to his Lottery tickets, as well. Initially, he did not realize his $3 ticket was a $50,000 winner, adding: “My daughter told me I won.”…
