Pirate Boys Soccer Rally in Last Seconds to Take PCL Crown

Fire up the fire Trucks Friday night as Continental High Boys Soccer claimed a share of the Putnam County League crown when they rallied to defeat host Kalida.  It was a game that was decided in the last seconds but it was the Wildcats who held the lead most of the game.  Only one goal was scored in the first half and it was by Wildcat Logan Kerner with 17:59 left in the half.  Wildcats 1-0 at half.

The Wildcats would hold that lead for 37:39 of the game clock.  The Pirates would get the equalizer with 24:19 left in the game to tie the game at 1 all when Bain Stegbauer scored off a Rhettik Bower assist.  That tie would hold for the next 24:11 when the Pirates Bruno Liarte would hit the back of the net off a second assist by Bowers.  The Pirates would maintain that lead for for the last 8 second.  Pirates 2-1 winner.  With the win the Pirates finish their PCL season with a 3-0-1 record.  Ottoville currently stands at 0-0-1 on their PCL and still has a chance to claim a portion of the crown.
