REGIONAL – Law enforcement and school districts across the region are dealing with ongoing threats of violence in schools.
The school year is just barely underway and school districts continue to deal with constant threats of violence on line, through other social media platforms and word being spread through the hallways.
Several school districts, including those in Grandview and Sunnyside have been informing parents about ongoing threats and rumors by posting on their Facebook pages.

The Grandview Police Department and school officials said they investigated the source of the ongoing threats and confirmed the rumors were only rumors. Despite this, they still took extra precautions during a pep rally Friday to err on the side of caution. Other school districts, despite being unsure if the threat is legitimate, have also erred on the side of caution and police have ramped up their presence on campuses…
