Decreased storm chances, increased temps mark start of fall for the Valley

PHOENIX (AZFamily)—Temperatures are near normal for the first day of Fall but will warm up as we head into the work week. There is little to no chance of rain throughout the week.

As strong high pressure builds over the region, temperatures will range about 5-10 degrees warmer than normal as we progress through the week, with the possibility of tying or breaking daytime high temperature records.

We’re back into the triple digits Monday through the weekend. For example, the high for Wednesday and Thursday is 107 degrees, and the record for both of those days is 108 degrees, set back in 1989…
