Lottery ticket worth $498K sold in Ann Arbor, jackpot won by 21-year-old woman

LANSING, MI — A 21-year-old Oakland County woman says she doesn’t play the Michigan Lottery’s Fast Cash Progressive slot games often, but she’s thrilled that she decided to play on Sept. 11 as she brought home a jackpot worth $498,607.

“I play Fast Cash every once in a while,” said the winner, who chose to remain anonymous. “I was in the mood to play, so I stopped at the store and bought a ticket. When I looked it over and saw I won the jackpot, I didn’t believe it, so I went home and had my parents look the ticket over. At first, we thought I’d just won the jackpot, but then we realized I’d won another $250,000 on top of that. It still feels surreal!”

The winning ticket won the $248,607 Fast Cash jackpot that was available for all Fast Cash games, but because the winner bought the $20 Jumbo Jackpot Slots ticket, it added an additional $250,000 to the prize total.
