LIVONIA — Some Livonia Public Schools parents could be unexpectedly carpooling and transporting their children to and from school for the next few weeks.
District officials sent out an email announcing that some bus routes were canceled and wouldn’t have drivers because of a “critical shortage of bus drivers at this time.”
Stacy Jenkins, the district’s communications director, said about 6,800 Livonia students ride the bus on a normal day, and about 920 students – or approximately 14% – had their routes canceled…
